Modal Coffee & Hostel Competes Virtually for $25,000 and a Feature in Inc. Magazine

Each year the UPS Store hosts a Small Biz Challenge nationwide to encourage minority and small business ownership. This year, Modal has been selected as a Top 10 finalist in the competition for a chance to win $25,000 and a feature article in Inc magazine. The online competition launches with public voting on inc.com on Monday, June 7th and voting concludes on Monday, July 5th. Each person will be able to vote only once throughout the voting period.

Only a few months ago, Modal, Greenville’s First and only hostel, was awarded a 2021 HOSCAR Award by Hostelworld, the largest hostel OTA (online travel agency). Modal was the only hostel nominated for 2 categories: Extraordinary New Hostel and Extraordinary Inclusive Hostel and was crowned WINNER for Extraordinary Inclusive Hostel on 4.26.21.
